Meet Up and Manchester Institute of Health and Performance (MIHP) Tour and Experience
Access Sport and Nuffield Health invite members of the Women’s Sport Collective to explore and test out the world class sports science and medicine facilities on offer at MIHP, Manchester’s home of elite sport, whilst connecting with fellow members of the collective.

3:00pm - Arrive - tea & coffee
3.15pm - Welcome (Lauren/ Gemma)
3.25pm - A short introduction to MIHP, Nuffield Health and Access Sport (Helen/Tim or Paula)
3.35pm - MIHP Tour
4.10pm – 5.15pm - Activity – split into 2 or 3 small groups depending on numbers to try out:
1. Performance profiling using force plates 20min (S&C Gym)
2. Hot/ Cold pools: Contrast bathing (Bring swimwear & towels) (20min)
3. Capture Hall - 3D capture demo and implications for Rehab (20min)
5.15pm - Regroup for light bites/ refreshments
6pm – End
Travel: parking on site and easy access by bus and tram

Access Sport is a national sport for development charity with a vision to make inclusion the norm in community sport. They train, equip and support sports clubs, coaches and volunteers to deliver inclusive offers, with a focus on supporting disadvantaged and disabled children and young people to access the benefits of community sports.
Nuffield Health partnered with Access Sport in 2022, creating an innovative new project aims to tackle stubborn health inequalities in Greater Manchester. By combining resources and expertise they aim to tackle the unmet needs of 15,000 disadvantaged local young people and their families in the next two years.
