Broadcast Sport Awards

Hurray! Our beautiful documentary 'Abbie Ward. A Bump in the Road' has been shortlisted for the Broadcast Sport Awards in the category of Sports Documentary of the Year.

We are all so very proud and I'd like to give a massive shout out to our partners for this project, the hugely talented team at Ben&Jack Studio. Jack Tompkins who Directed and Produced the film with me, along with Ben Marlow, Director of Photography.

A few more important thank yous...

Thank you to Abbie Ward who so openly allowed us to follow her remarkable story as she returned to professional rugby just 17 weeks after the birth of her baby. And to her husband and head coach David Ward and everyone at Bristol Bears who allowed us access to film at the club throughout Abbie's journey, along with other athletes featured including Delaney Burns and Simi Pam

Thank you to the England Rugby team who gave us the okay to film including Sue Day, Alex Teasdale, Charlie Hayter, Chloe Francis and the fabulous Kate Tyler who was so excellent on camera. Also to Belinda Moore and Paul Morgan at the PWR.

An enormous thank you to the team at Firebird Foundation who provided backing for the documentary.

It's not just about creating a powerful documentary though - real impact only comes if your content is seen by people. So thank you to Richard Botchway and the team at ITVX and James Rothwell, Sally Horrox, Sarah Massey and Atlanta St John at Rugby Pass TV (World Rugby) as both channels took the film.
